Sidney Lowe's latest scheduled hearing for his tax evasion case was scheduled for yesterday, September 18th. There was no outcome of the case as he was issued another continuance until November 20, 2013.
After being arrested February 18th, 2013, Lowe has received four continuances. He was originally scheduled to appear in March, May, July, and September.
Previous continuances were granted as Lowe's attorneys have stated that they're waiting on further information from Utah. The Wake County Criminal Clerk could not give a reason for today's continuance.
If convicted, Lowe faces up to 180 days in jail on each of the three misdemeanor counts.
With Jazz media day and training camp coming up, there will likely be questions to Lowe, Head Coach Tyrone Corbin, and to the team, but if the past is any indication, there won't be much of a comment from any. Though Lowe and Corbin both released statements, the Jazz have not officially, calling it a "personal matter."
On his next court date, the Jazz are schedule to be in New Orleans playing the Pelicans.
