Listen to Lindsey's 1280 interview from Friday, or read it when Moni puts it up. Interesting that he took pains to emphasize the point he made in the recent SL Trib article giving significant credit for drafting Trey to Ty. It's also a point he made earlier in the offseason.
This gives another public metric for charting Ty's fortunes with the team. Trey does well, then Ty does well. Trey underperforms, then it can be part of the rationale for letting Ty walk. This move (perhaps brilliantly, depending on your perspective) might blunt some of the criticism toward Ty. What are those against Ty going to do knowing that Trey's success may strengthen Corbin's job security?
Or do you see it differently?
