Rosters are ordered by PER. Players are only included if they are signed (or likely to be resigned) in 2014-15 and are getting some minutes. Player ages listed.

Your Utah Jazz

  • Favors 22
  • Hayward 23 – needs to be resigned
  • Evans 26
  • Burks 22
  • Burke 21
  • Kanter 21
  • Gobert 21

Cap space –30 M guaranteed, need to resign Gordo at ~12 M.

Picks – own and Golden State 1st rounder, plus own second rounder

Sacramento Kings

  • Cousins 23
  • Thomas 24 – needs to be resigned
  • Gay 27
  • Fredette 24 - no guaranteed contract
  • Landry 30
  • Williams 22
  • Thompson 27
  • Acy 23
  • Thornton 26
  • McLemore 20

Cap space – 68 M before resigning Thomas – likely capped out.

Picks – 1st rounder protected through pick 12, otherwise to Chicago. Second rounder to NY or Toronto.

LA Lakers

  • Bryant 35
  • Nash 39
  • Young 28
  • Sacre 24
  • Marshall 22

Cap space – 36 M guaranteed, but need to add at least 7 players.

Picks – own first round. Second rounder to Milwaukee

NO Pelicans

  • Davis 20
  • Withey 23
  • Anderson 25
  • Evans 24
  • Holiday 23
  • Gordon 25
  • Rivers 21
  • Ajinca 25
  • Morrow 28 – team option

Cap space – 55 M guaranteed, some space, but need to resign backup bigs and potentially Aminu.

Picks - likely none for 2014 - Own 1st rounder to Philly, top 5 protected. Second rounder to Minnesota.

Compared to these other franchises, I feel that the Jazz have great potential going forward. Los Angeles is stuck with Kobe and Nash. New Orleans has Davis, but the other parts aren't meshing or staying healthy. Sacramento is capped out going forward and has no defensive identity.
