Kendall Marshall v. Trey Burke

This is my first fanpost, so let me know if I should make this my last.

Kendall Marshall is a guy I thought the Jazz would have/should have taken with the Harrison Barnes pick, had the Jazz missed the playoffs that year. He's the prototypical Jazz (John Stockton-type) point guard. He averaged 9.8 assists his sophomore year in college. 9.8 in college!! And this year when he finally gets a chance, he's averaging 9.4 dimes.

Shooting-wise, he's nothing spectacular. However he does shoot three three pointers a game, and he makes a good 43.1% of them. This kind of threat from the outside keeps the dimes flowing. Honestly, I think he's better than Rondo (on offense anyway), and as defense is probably a team and not individual concept, I don't think it's fair to compare one player's defense to another, unless of course they're on the same team.

Earlier this year it looked like Kendall at one point wanted to be on the Jazz, as seen by his play against us after we took Diante Garret over him when both were available in the D-League.

So the question is, would you trade Trey for Kendall? Kendall is a better passer and shooter, and is only 22 years old. Kendall is 4 inches taller than Trey and I think he can learn to use his length to be a good defender in a good system. In no way take this to mean that I don't firmly believe in Trey's ability. I love that the Jazz have him, and I think Trey's going to be a great player. But, looking at the facts, it appears that Kendall might be superior in every way. In ten years who do you think is better?
