March Game Streams -- Liberty Ballers -- Jazz vs 76ers coverage

Man.This is the last game of our six games in nine nights road trip. The Utah Jazz have lost each game of this trip and if there ever was a time to feel sorry for yourself it could be now.

Originally this would be called a schedule loss. If the Jazz lose tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers it could be called a mercy loss as the Sixers have lost 15 straight games. I'm pretty convinced that the Sixers are going to lose this one. They are only 8-23 at home, and we're only 7-25 on the road, so why am I so convinced? I'm convinced because, like I said, they are on a 15 game losing streak. Let's put this in some type of perspective here: their current losing streak is the same number as all of the wins they have this season: 15.

Philly is 3.0 games "behind" the Milwaukee Bucks (a team that beat the Jazz, sadly) for the most ping pong balls right now. And if Philly is committed to bridging that gap they should lose tonight. They will get some help with the injuries. Their "best" player is Jason Richardson, and he's not going to play again this season due to a "knee" injury. Their top draft pick, who was thought to be the #1 draft pick in the upcoming draft at this time last year, Nerlens Noel hasn't played a second this season. And even their back-up power forward Brandon Davies is sidelined with a finger injury. It's not just injuries that are keeping them down. It's their talent level. Their starters for the last game they played were: Michael Carter-Williams, James Anderson, Henry Sims (you may know him from our free agent camp and summer league teams), Hollis Thompson, and Thaddeus Young. This is a team our normative bench unit of Diante Garrett, Alec Burks, Enes Kanter, Rudy Gobert, and the ghost of David Benoit could beat.

Compounding this, they traded away a former lotto pick for Danny Granger, then waived him. He's playing for the Los Angeles Clippers now.

So the Franchise is trying to tank. The front office is trying to tank. You could argue that the head coach Brett Brown is trying to tank with his rotations. And the players know what's up too. The Jazz are, well, they don't know what they want to do. And that brings uncertainty. There's also the issue that our team could be tired tonight. But I think the laser like accuracy the 76ers are on right now, aiming for their tanking target, there's very little chance we lose tonight.

There isn't much else to say about that. If I'm wrong I'll eat a can of tuna fish, one of the things I hate the most. I'll drink up all the gross tuna water too. Ew.

So in closing, Trey Burke is awesome. We're tired. Michael Carter-Williams is playing for a team that has a plan. And that plan isn't to disrupt their 15 game slide. And again, that slide is the same number as all of the games this team has won this season.
