April Game Streams -- Blazer's Edge -- Trail Blazers vs Jazz coverage

.

Tonight the Utah Jazz will host the Portland Trail Blazers for the 40th home game of the year. There's only one more after this (hosting the Los Angeles Lakers), and if you are a Real Jazz Fan then you should be at this game. Portland is a playoff team that has more than double the wins than we do. In fact, they almost have more road wins (22) than we do (24). These are two teams heading in two different directions -- the Jazz to the lotto again, and the Blazers back to the playoffs. We can't say that the Blazers are mediocre as they are in a dogfight for home court in the first round, while our Jazz teams were barely even making the 8th seed.

It's sad, because I don't like to think of the Blazers as being out of our league, but they really are. They have players on the rise, All-Stars, a deep bench, and something to fight for still. Utah doesn't, and our fans (us) do not have much to root for right now. I know. This is the fourth year in a row where Jazz fans have spent more time attack one another instead of the 'enemy'.

I consider the Blazers one of our rivals, having fought against them for years in the playoffs. The history books agree with that point of view as well. In the regular season the Jazz are a slim 93 wins to 75 losses ahead of the Blazers all-time. The number is a commanding 66-17 in Utah. Though it may take a miracle to win tonight. Yes, Joel Freeland will be missing from action, but Mo Williams will return -- giving Portland a mostly healthy roster. The Jazz appear to be mired in injury on the other hand, being without two of our most eldest players: Brandon Rush, and Marvin Williams. (Marvin is doubtful, Rush has an illness)

Both teams are rested, but the Jazz start a back-to-back set tonight playing at home, then flying out to face the surprising Denver Nuggets tomorrow. Also, well, we're not a good team. And Portland is. I would assume a loss tonight, which is fine. It's one more loss closer to the end of this season.

Drogo - "Bae, when is the draft lotto again?"

Daenerys - "I don't care about u no more, I is mother of Raptors fans nao."

Drogo - "Okay, sounds good. Maybe we can still hang out and be friends."

This has been our season. And it's ending soon.
