I've been a pretty steady Jazz fan since the early nineties. I will nearly get into fights declaring Karl Malone is the number one power forward of all time. Jerry Sloan is the coach I think I really understand. That being said the transition from Karl and John to Andrei, Darren, and Carlos was pretty smooth. Had a nice run there and were very competitive which was awesome. I chose the side of Jerry in the Darren struggle - and still swear that Jer would have taken Darren mano y mano. That being said the last few years have been difficult. For someone that has never lived in Utah and have never purchased the league pass. It's tough to follow them when so bad because they are never on tv and the talking heads don't touch on them much. In any case - now that I've set some foundation. I think that in my life of Jazz fandom this by far has to be the most crucial offseason ever. This could either tank or send them to the NBA Championship. I believe in Lindsey and I think they've done all the right things by drafting talent and then effectively tanking this season to secure a top four pick. You have to have one top 15 player in the league to win a championship and one of those guys may be available in this draft. Don't know if it's Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Embiid, or who - but we could get one. I think we have great potential in Favors, Kanter, Burke, and co. If we get a wing we could let Hayward walk and then fill in any perceived gaps in free agency. If we can find a great coach to come in and put the pieces together. I think within two to three years we would be one of the most exciting teams in the league duking it out in a tough Western Conference. If things all hit right we could be right in it for titles. Chips man. That would be something. So what do you think?
