We don't want the 4th worst spot...

Historically, since 1994 (when the lottery odds went to 250) the 3rd and 5th worst teams have been the luckiest in moving up during the draft lottery. We've lost our chance at the 3rd worst, so staying right where we are (5th) is for the best. Also, in 2005 we were the 4th, and went down to 6th. So we do want to lose, but not enough to gets us back to 4th or drop down to 6th.

Yes this is poorly formatted/worded, but I just want to get this information out there.

1st worst team gets a top 3 pick 60% of the time

5th worst team gets a top 3 pick 45% of the time
6th worst team gets a top 3 pick 30% of the time
7th worst team gets a top 3 pick 5% of the time

1st worst team gets a top 2 pick 35% of the time
2nd worst team gets a top 2 pick 25% of the time
3rd worst team gets a top 2 pick 30% of the time
4th worst team gets a top 2 pick 20% of the time
5th worst team gets a top 2 pick 35% of the time
6th worst team gets a top 2 pick 25% of the time
7th worst team gets a top 2 pick 5% of the time

1st worst team gets a top 1 pick 10% of the time
