My takeaway: An intense passion to win creates winning teams and, often, technical fouls.
One oddity: The author calculates the average "price" of a technical foul to be .85 points. That seemed low to me. I would have guessed closer to 1.5 points. I've concluded that the small value is because not all technical fouls get 2 free-throws--double-techs (no free throws), defensive 3-seconds techs (1 free throw), and possibly others I can't think of. The author could have teased this out more but it doesn't affect his main point.
Other: I wish there was a more convenient way to post articles that others might find interesting. I wanted to post just the link but a minimum of 75 words is necessary to be considered an article. Any ideas?
