As a Jazz fan, I come up with trade ideas often. But sometimes they're a bit lopsided. (A couple years ago I wanted to trade Al Jefferson for Rajon Rondo) But I believe I have cracked the code with this one. Please discuss it below.
Loses: Pick 6
Gains: Gordon Hayward (Sign+trade), Pick 35 (from Utah), Money (From Utah.)
Loses: Pick 5, Pick 35, Money, Gordon Hayward
Gains: Pick 2 (From MIL)
Loses: Pick 2
Gains: Pick 5 (From Utah), Pick 6 (From Boston)
Reason for the trade:
I haven't done much research on what Boston wants in the draft or free-agency. What I do know is that Boston wants Hayward. He would love to play there as well. A Hayward-Green-Rondo Back court could do the Celtics wonders. Who they pick with #6 could flourish, but could also be a bust. Bringing in a player like Hayward who has already shown his skills this year, and shown that he will continue to grow also perks up a reason for Boston to do this trade.
The Bucks have many trade options at #2 and would most likely end up with Wiggins, or Embiid on their team there. But some intriguing prospects come up for Milwaukee at 5 and 6. A long list of players could definitely liven up their roster, instead of one player. My two picks for them here would be Vonleh, and Exum, (should he still be there) Together they could make plays come up in Milwaukee.
This one is easy for me. While it hurts to give up Hayward and some money, Jabari Parker fills that hole perfectly. The way he plays fits the Jazz's need as a go-to scorer. Some other obvious reasons resonate around the fact that he is a member of the LDS church, making Utah much more appealing to him than other players/prospects, giving the organization hope that he would stay (Unlike Deron Williams)
IDK. I wanna know what you guys think, so please let me know.
