Jeremy Evans needs to play 30+ minutes/game as SF for the rest of the season

If you look at Jeremy's stats, he's been an efficient player (above league average) throughout his career. J's advanced stats indicate that he should be played more than he is. As an Advanced Stats fan (and fan of Jeremy), I would love him to get more minutes, so we could see if he is being underutilized.

I think it was last summer when Jeremy said that the Jazz should tell him if he's a PF or a SF and he would either gain or lose weight so he could be efficient as possible at that position. When he started with the Jazz, J spent about 1/3 of his time as a SF and the rest as a PF. Through the years, his minutes have progressively come at the PF spot. Personally, I think this progression towards PF has hurt Jeremy.

IMO, Jeremy will never be a PF that merits a lot of minutes; however, with Jeremy's length and athleticism he could be a great defender against SFs. If he can spread the floor by making corner 3s at a high clip then he could become a solid rotation player.
