David Locke joined Rocketcast Live and Jason Friedman asked him his feelings on taking heat from fans when they disagree with him. At 31.20 mark the question comes.
For what it’s worth, Okafor believes he could make it as a 17-year-old pro. "I would like to think that," Okafor said when asked if he could play in the NBA right now. "I’ve actually had the [opportunity] to play against a professional basketball player. I played against [Utah Jazz center] Enes Kanter. He came to my school over the summer and I actually dominated him.
Pretty good article by Zach Lowe on the Jazz moving forward. I definitely think it's worth a read and some discussion; especially the defensive issues Lowe highlights.
this is an interesting take on advanced statistics and the nba. their argument basically suggests that advanced stats are to some extent obscuring our knowledge of the actual game.
Don't see it happening, but semi interesting if Al is involved.
07 Feb 2013 09:29:51 Jazz-Clippers-Celtics-Magic Trade Jazz get Jordan, Bledsoe, Butler, Lee Jazz trade Jefferson, Milsap, Foye Clippers get Garnett, Redick Clippers trade Jordan, Bledsoe, Butler Celtics get Jefferson, Foye Celtics trade Garnett, Lee Magic get Milsap, Watson (use trade exception on Milsap) Magic trade Redick Jazz: Bledsoe/Williams Lee/Hayward/Burks Butler/Hayward/Williams Favors/Kanter Jordan/Kanter - at the moment Jazz can reach the playoffs but they will not contend for championship. With this trade Jazz is not better right now, but they have a higher ceiling. If Bledsoe, Favors and Kanter can develop themselves to stars, this team can run a deep playoff run the years to come. Deep roster and good mix of veterans and young talents. Clippers: Paul/Billups Redick/Crawford Hill/Barnes/Odom Griffin/Odom/Garnett Garnett/Turiaf/Odom - Clippers want to win now. Garnett is a upgrade over Jordan, especially because of his presence, expierence and leadership. Redick is one of the best shooter who has developed well. With Hill, Barnes and Odom, Clippers a deep enough at SF. Celtics: Rondo/Terry Bradley/Foye/Barbosa Pierce/Green Bass/Sulinger/Green Jefferson/Melo - Celtics need a change and with Jefferson in his prime, he can build a good duo with Rondo the following seasons. For at least 1 season they will form a new Big 3 (Pierce, Rondo, Jefferson). With Terry, Bradley, Green and Sullinger this roster has everything to be a contender. Magic: Nelson/Watson Afflalo/Moore Turk/Harkless Milsap/Nicholson/Harrington Vucevic/Davis/Ayon - Magic are still in rebuilding mode. in 2014 Turk s bad contract ends. in 2015 Harrington s. With some good draft picks and 1-2 good Off-Season signings, Magic can be back in playoffs 2015.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=aoctgd3 This seems unlikely but...
An interesting take on a potential Jazz trade that I quite like and that seems somewhat feasible.
thought this was one of the best interviews of andrei that i had ever seen. for sure never saw a piece like this from the salt lake beat writers when he played here. though he isn't worth near the money he is getting, he such a multi-faceted player its fun to dream what might have been without all the injuries in salt lake after he signed the big contract.
