The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has signed 2014 first-round draft picks guard Danté Exum (fifth overall) and forward Rodney Hood (23rd overall). Per team policy, terms of the deals were not released. Both players are expected to be available for the Jazz’s entry in NBA Summer League 2014, which begins play in Las Vegas on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. MT vs. Philadelphia (TV: KJZZ 14, Radio: 1280 AM/97.5 FM).
As assumed by all, Dante Exum and Rodney Hood both got 120% of their draft spot rookie scale, which we had for you weeks ago.
N.B. The Jazz have between $6.5 million and $12.8 million left to spend this season, depending on if they want to hit the minimum (90% of the cap), or go whole hog and reach the cap.
Because the guys who run the Jazz site are so awesome, we also have immediate reactions from these two guys as well!
Welcome to the Jazz family @daanteee! https://t.co/meaTehUbn9
