While you were sleeping... 3 March 2009

Slow night in the Association last night, at least as far as the Jazz are concerned.  Let's get too it.

HORNETS 98 @ 76ers 91

David West was too much for the 76ers and Chris Paul had a better second half to hold on for the win.  Iggy had 30 and Andre Miller had 28, but didn't get much out of anyone else.  NOLA sneaks 1/2 game ahead of the Jazz.

SPURS 106 @ CLIPPERS 78

Don't know if you expected anything else with this game, you shouldn't have.  The Spurs pounded the Clips in every quarter.  Another 1/2 game lost.

MAVERICKS 87 @ THUNDER 96

The Mavs fell hard at the OKC despite the Thunder not having Durant or Green.  Jirk had 28 and Broken Ankles had 20 (on 19 shots) but no one else made the trip.  It was a crazy game of 2 on 5.  Krstic took over scoring duties or the Thunder and had 26.

Let's go to Boozer for the overall feel of last night's games,

While it was good to put some distance between the Mavs and us, I would have much rather woken up this morning 1/2 game ahead of NOLA.  Here are your current standings:
