Well, this will pretty much end any Boozer to Miami talk. It was reported yesterday that Michael Beasley checked into a rehab facility. For what though, not much is known. This is the picture that may or may not be associated with things.
We know that the Jazz were likely unable to trade Booze to Miami without Beasley being a part of any package. Though Sloan will play the players he's given, Beasley seems (even before this) like the person who would quickly get in Sloan's doghouse.
My favorite part of the Deron and Korver dodge barrage video at the Gateway is when they hit the guy on the steps by the Olympic fountain. Not for the hit, but for the guy carrying his little daughter away in the background. Maybe he was just carrying her, but when I first saw it, I imagine him trying to get his girl the heck out of there because he didn't know what was going down. I imagine that there were a lot of unsuspecting bystanders who didn't know what was going on.
I've complained before that the Jazz weren't doing enough to market Deron. So I'm glad to see that he's doing it himself.
I think it's safe to say that Deron has already moved to the #3 position of top Jazz man of all-time. Certainly we've never had a player that's been so engaging and putting himself out there. Earlier generations might be at a disadvantage because they didn't have the latest tech or media. But I really can't see any former Jazz men using such tools (yes, it's a tool [you can use whatever interpretation of tool you'd like there]) as Twitter.
And should he finish with the Jazz, Deron could easily take over the top spot, something I never thought could happen. If he wins a championship, I think that seals the deal.`z
What's Fesenko doing right now?
We haven't seen any pics of AK since his Bay of Pigs photo. Since then, he's supposedly bee putting on weight. It will be interesting to see if he shows up with any added muscle. I wish he would make a cameo in one of the Dodge Barrage videos.
