Great night last night in the association if you're a Jazz fan. Not only did the Jazz roll the Pacers, the Blazers fell to the Celtics. The Lakers dropped their fourth straight after going down against the 5-12 Rockets. And the Spurs got Griffined.
The only downside was that the Nets weren't able to knock off the Thunder in 3 OT and Denver hung on for the win against the Bucks.
Dallas also won their 7th straight by beating the Wolves which will set up a nice game tomorrow night in the ESA.
One of the greatest gifs ever courtesy of moni and definitely the most hardcore tattoo.
I was going to post this in the game preview yesterday but forgot. For someone that's required to often guard the other team's best player and play as much help D as he does, AK has a low foul rate. He's averages just 2 fouls per 36 minutes of play. Check out the rest of the players that get that: <= 2.0 fouls per 36 minutes.
I didn't get a game recap up last night but I would be remiss if I didn't mention Deron's game last night. It wasn't a career high in points or assists but it could easily be one of the best games of his career.
The numbers speak for themselves, 24 & 16 (9 & 9 in the first quarter) along with two steals and a 3 boards. Oh, and 0 turnovers. That's something that's always been a knock on his game. With as much as he handles the ball, I expect him to have turnovers.
Something that can't be measured though is how he's managing the game right now and controlling things. He's been executing the offense as perfectly as I've ever seen it run and that includes while Stockton was here. I'm not going to compare him to Stock. I'm only saying that he's running things about as well as you can right now.
I'm sure you're doing this already, but make sure you're soaking this in.
Thursday open poll... Even after Memo gets back, do the Jazz need to bring anyone else in? Or should they stay pat?
