Tinsley has most recently been a guard for the L.A. Defenders. Before that he spent most of his NBA career with the Indiana Pacers before signing as a FA with the Grizzlies in 2009 and didn't play in the NBA last season.
This certainly means the end of either Earl Watson or Ronnie Price as a Jazz man. No details have been released on his salary. I would assume it would be just a one-year deal.
Tinsley is shooting just 31% in the DLeague and 26% from the field. His career shooting percentages aren't good. He's a great assist guy but is also high in turnovers.
