The Jazz don't have a closer right now as evidenced last night.  Deron has played that role for at least the last 3-4 seasons.  When you think of the biggest closers in the game, they've been shooters.  Or to put it in Sloan's terms, they've been makers.  The Jazz don't have anyone like that now and it shows in close games against good teams.

According to Jim Burton, Jeremy Evans has been sent to the D-League to play two games.  But then he'll return and go on next week's road trip with the Jazz.

He hasn't seen much if any playing time and that's probably not going to change tomorrow so getting some action in with the Flash will be good for him.  This is of course his first trip to the D-League.

It's only four games in, but the similarities between Harris' numbers with the Jazz and Deron's numbers are crazy.

Deron, 6.6 FGs, 14.4 FGAs, 4.6 3PAs, 6.3 FTAs, 85.3 FT%, 3.7 TRB, 9.2 AST, 20.2 PTS
Devin,  6.5 FGs, 14.1 FGAs, 4.8 3PAs, 6.2 FTAs, 81.8 FT%, 3.7 TRB, 8.7 AST, 20.0 PTS

Congrats to Othyus Jeffers on getting a 10-day contract with the Spurs.  If the San Antonio river floods, he'll be safe.

In all seriousness, I hope he sticks with them and gets a ring.

Are you smarter than an NBA blogger?  The Basketball Jones asks some tough questions.  For the record, I would have got the Dream Team question but would have only been able to name some of the others.  Except for the controversial KOOF question.  I would have gotten that one.
