Game 60: Utah Jazz 85 @ New Orleans Hornets 96
It's not over . . . but it's over. Jazz need to win 5 of their next 6 for a chance to get in
via @da_breezman
The Jazz needed to win this game, and they did not. The Jazz can afford to lose one more game, and on the docket we have games remaining @ Memphis Grizzlies, vs. Dallas Mavericks, and vs. Orlando Magic. It'll be hard. But it's not impossible.
What is impossible, however, is trying to get a derailed train back on the tracks after it has lost all momentum and broken down. Paul Millsap played hurt and finished with 27 points during his 38 minutes of action. Enes Kanter, Derrick Favors, and Alec Burks combined to shoot 9/19, and scored 26 points. 26 points off of 19 shots is a a PPS value of 1.37, which is like Karl Malone's level of efficiency. They played really great. If there is a God, we'll see more of them as the season continues to 'progress' -- but hey, I'm just a whiny little girl for wanting them to have played more this season. Clearly, our vets led us to the playoffs . . . oh wait. At least we still have Golden State's pick . . . oh wait . . .
More analysis after the jump.
