There was a Woj bomb that happened tonight and fortunately for us Jazz fans it was good news for the Jazz.
Derrick Favors has reached agreement on a four-year, $49 million-plus contract extension with the Utah Jazz, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
The deal includes bonus incentives that could push the package well over $50 million, sources said.
Here was our local beat writer Jody Genessy's reaction:
When I asked our CBA expert, Peter J Novack what incentives could be included in Favors contract here was his response:
I personally am very excited about Favors extension. I know some of the national reporters aren't high on it, they think it is too much money for an unproven big. I have seen that fire in Favors eyes, I know he has talent. I know he hasn't been given the opportunity to prove his worth. Thank you Dennis Lindsey and Derrick Favors agent for getting this done!
