NBA Regular Season Game #31:
Utah Jazz (8-22) @ Memphis Grizzlies (11-15)
December Game Streams / Grizzly Bear Blues (SBN) / Jazz vs Grizzlies coverage
Hey, we could win this one!
.
I am in transit far from home, and doing this on a laptop in an uncomfortable chair. I am a blogger, hear me whine. Tonight is going to be a good night because it's the last game for our Jazz players before their long lay-off at home for Christmas. It's also going to be pretty crazy as the team hasn't seen their home in over a week. Five games in eight nights isn't as bad as 5 in 7, but it's still not good. What has been good has been the play of the Jazz against equal or slightly better competition. Against really good teams we lose very easily. Against these sub-par teams (Memphis without three rotation guys falls under that banner) we die hard.
And Die Hard is the best Christmas movie ever.
But anyway, we look to see rookie coach Dave Joerger against veteran coach Tyrone Corbin. Clearly we have the advantage there. We may also have it in the starting lineup:
Point Guards: Trey Burke vs. Mike Conley
Shooting Guards: Gordon Hayward vs. Tony Allen
Small Forwards: Richard Jefferson vs. James Johnson
Power Forwards: Marvin Williams vs. Zach Randolph
Centers: Derrick Favors vs. Ed Davis
Okay, maybe not at the starting level. Memphis is a proud team at home that's trying to make the playoffs despite injuries to Marc Gasol, Tayshaun Prince, and Quincy Pondexter. They're also 3-7 in their last 10, worst in the Western Conference over that span.
It's going to be a good game tonight Jazz fans!
GO JAZZ GO!
