Welcome back to the Utah Jazz! After four days off we're super excited to have a game again. The Jazz take on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at the ESA.
Every game against the Lakers seems to have its own personality. Sometimes the Jazz dominate without two main starters (Boozer and Memo), sometimes the Jazz only score six points in the 4th quarter to once again break the hearts of Jazz fans. There was that time that Kobe stood on our center court logo and said eff you Utah"
It does seem that since Derrick Favors has been on the team the Jazz have played the Lakers pretty well. We have won in Los Angeles more since the Core Four than we did the entire time Deron Williams was our point guard (or at least it feels that way)
John Stockton and Karl Malone used to dominate Kobe Bryant and Shaq before they reached their championship heyday.
Remember when we were relevant enough to play on national TV on a Sunday? Ty should definitely make us that relevant again if he is half the coach certain media wants us to believe ;) (I joke, I joke)
So many memorable games between the Utah Jazz and the Lakers. Who can forget Kobe's tantrum after ending the Jazz's chance to break their longest home winning streak record which happen to coincide with Derek Fisher's return to Utah, Kobe stood on the Jazz's logo and said expletive, Utah. So many memorable plays.. who can forget Ronnie Price's block on the once great Luke Walton? Or Deron's crossover on Kobe for the 4 point play!
I hope the Jazz do whatever you want them to do. Whether they win or lose :) I hope we have another fun memory from this interesting rivalry.
Lakers vs Jazz coverage
Its in the best interest of the Jazz to win tonight?
