NBA Regular Season 2012-2013, Game 80:
Minnesota Timberwolves (29-49) @ Utah Jazz (41-38)
Fan appreciation night, and maybe Millsap's last home game for the team that drafted him
.
The Starters:
- Point Guard: Ricky Rubio vs. Mo Williams
- Shooting Guard: Luke Ridnour vs. Randy Foye
- Small Forward: Andrei Kirilenko vs. Gordon Hayward
- Power Forward: Derrick Williams vs. Paul Millsap
- Center: Greg Stiemsma? (Nikola Pekovic will sit tonight) vs. Al Jefferson
We're still down one Enes Kanter, but they'll be without Kevin Love, Brandon Roy, and Malcolm Lee. Dante Cunningham will return for them tonight as well. The bigger issue here than just this ONE game, or just this ONE season, or just this ONE playoff push is the fact that this could really be the last home game for a lot of these guys. Guys we cheer for, root for, communicate with on twitter, and so forth. It's fan appreciation night, but one last time, let's make this Jazz appreciation night.
As an aside, I cannot fathom a Utah Jazz team without Paul Millsap. He's the last link to our last Western Conference Finals team. Very few people epitomize our franchise more than he does. Hard working, overlooked, but never said die.
GO JAZZ GO!
