ESPN's Marc Stein reports Jazz Head Coach Tyrone Corbin will be back next season, regardless of playoff appearance this season

USA TODAY Sports

ESPN's head NBA honcho Marc Stein reports that the Utah Jazz will retain Tyrone Corbin as the head coach next season, regardless of what happens this season:

"Utah's hopes of sneaking past the Lakers into the West's final playoff berth have dwindled since a hope-generating win at Golden State as recently as Sunday night. After finally finding a way to win one in Portland, L.A entered the weekend as a 73.5 percent favorite, according to ESPN.com's Hollinger Playoff Odds, to snag the No. 8 spot. But one source close to the situation, echoing the sentiments in last weekend's Weekend Dime, insisted to ESPN.com this week that Tyrone Corbin will be back next season for the final year of his contract even if the Jazz -- filled with free agents and youngsters -- fail to reach the postseason." - Marc Stein, ESPN (Section #5 at the bottom)

I think this is pretty cool because it attempts to build some level of continuutiy with our young squad, despite having so much roster turnover over the last few seasons. We've gone from this roster to this roster, and next season we expect to have a lot of change as well.
