Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors are two of the 24 talented, young players in Vegas this week for the Team USA minicamp.

To me, and I'm sure to them, this is a great opportunity to get some valuable court time against some of their most talented peers. Who doesn't want to watch Favors grit it out against Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, Andre Drummond, and Greg Monroe? Who wouldn't enjoy watching Hayward toe to toe with Paul George, DeMar DeRozan, Harrison Barnes, and Chandler Parsons?
Here's a good preview from Ben Golliver of The Point Forward Blog
And here's Jody Genessy's take, from the Deseret News
It's all happening, you guys:

Just touch down SLC
— John Lucas III (@Luke1luk) July 22, 2013
As has been reported, John Lucas III is in SLC and, pending the results of a physical, will sign with the Jazz. Welcome to the Jazz, JL3 (pending the results of your physical)
Jeremy Evans is out again, spreading joy to the boys and girls of Utah, via the Jr. Jazz program. Has any player in Utah Jazz history done as many miles as Jeremy? He's going to be the first and only member of the ten million mile club.
Here's a video of Jeremy doing his thing. All jokes aside, Jeremy is a great guy and doing a thing that all these kids in rural parts of the state will remember forever. Some of them might not ever see a Jazz game in person, so this is a once in a lifetime experience.
Stats nerds rejoice: Nate Silver is joining ESPN. It should be interesting to see what content he will be putting out. He got his start in sabermetrics, but he had some really interesting insights during the NBA Playoffs.
We're here. The worst part of the basketball season. Training camp is about 45 days away. Team USA minicamp is the only thing going on in basketball news. What do you do during this period? Pay attention to your kids? A hobby? Shut yourself in your room, turn off the lights, and listen to The Cure?
I'm not a baseball fan, so for me, this is the worst. The problem with wishing that the start of the season would get here is that it also means the start of cold weather. Its a catch-22, people. Its a terrible, terrible conundrum.
