The Downbeat #1122 - Yet Another Late Summer Edition

USA TODAY Sports

Apologies for the late post. I may have just driven back from a long weekend in Vegas. I did.  Lets catch up with the team, shall we?

Looks like the guys are ramping up the training. Their vacations are over.

Rudy Gobert has possibly fixed his visa issues?

I love Trey Burke. Here is what he and Ian Clark have been up to (babysitting Tyrell Corbin - Just teasin', Tyrell)

The big effort to entertain hoops fans on SBN has turned to the Top Players of 2017 project.  To condense it as it relates to us Jazz fans, Amar posted this. These are fun reads and a good way to generate discussion during the down time (and by discuss, I mean be incensed at how low the Jazz players were all ranked).

I thought this retrospective on the last list (The Top 99 of 2015 from two years ago) was hilarious. There was a ton of BIG misses, but perhaps none as bad as the Austin Rivers ranking.  Check it out.  Check out the omissions.

I want to take this opportunity to send our condolences to the Miller family, for the recent loss of a loved one. Though we may be critical of basketball related decisions, the Millers are a wonderful family and have done so much for the state of Utah, and the NBA. I think I can speak for all of us at SLC Dunk when I say that we have nothing but the utmost respect for them as genuine, caring, and compassionate people.
