72 Games of Estimated PERs (Now with Player Key)

Now that we are closing in on the end of the year, I thought it would be fun to play a game with the estimated PER numbers I compiled through the 72 games we've played so far this year.

This is how it will go:

1. I'm going to embed charts on each of our player's estimated PER data for the games they've played in this year. The top line of the chart details the range of estimated PER for each column.

(If you are not familiar with PER, PER is a number used to determine a player's efficiency in the minutes that he gets on the court. The higher the PER, the more effective a player was during his time on the court. NBA average PER is 15.)

2. I will not tell you who each player is until after I've given you a chance to respond to my questions in item 3, below.

3. Your job is to look through the charts and answer the following questions:

A. Who is our best player?
B. Who is our worst player?
C. Which 5 players regardless of position would you start?
D. Which player is the most consistent?
E. Which player has the most potential?

I want to see if the opinions we've formed during the season hold up after looking at the data.

I have included charts for every player who has played for us this year so that it would be less obvious who each player is. I understand that there are some flaws to this as I'm only presenting one numeric, but the data is the data and it's unbiased.
