Utah Jazz point guard / erstwhile Rookie of the year Trey Burke was announced as the April 2014 Western Conference Rookie of the month. This is his third Rookie of the month award this year, previously taking for December 2013, and January 2014.

So that's three of the six months out there. And that's pretty good for a guy a lot of NBA scouts weren't sold on. The lament here is that if only he shot better from the field he probably would have been rookie of the year this year.
I hope he does get some votes though, this team would have been so bad without him. Well, this team still won 25 games, so maybe they would have been franchise worst ever this year without him. He'll be All-NBA Rookie 1st team for sure. And he had a pretty awesome season of highs and lows, winning the Skills Contest at the NBA All-Star Weekend being a high, and having surgery on his shooting hand being the low.
He's only going to get better, and I'm really happy that he's on our team.
