Las Vegas Summer League 2014: Game 2
Tournament Preview - Roster - Schedule
What to watch - Gobert's defense - Clark's reminder - Rookie's first steps - Burke's team
.
In the game preview we went over how critical this game is for both teams. This is the Milwaukee Bucks final game of the prelim stage, and for the Utah Jazz it's an opportunity they have to jump on as it's Milwaukee's second game in a back to back set, and third game in four nights. Realistically all these young guys shouldn't be tired, but early on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker have been playing heavy minutes. Their shots haven't really been falling (a combined 19 for 49 so far) and they could have tired legs.
The Utah Jazz need to win this game, and the next against the Denver Nuggets if they want a good seed going forward. It's going to be hard to win with the turnover heavy performance we saw on Saturday. And it will be next to impossible if they shoot 3 for 30 again from downtown.
Trey Burk needs to absolutely man-handle NBA rotation player Nate Wolters. And Dante Exum, Rodney Hood, and Rudy Gobert need to show that we have more depth, are less tired, and more willing to go out there and fight for a win.
Also, can the real Ian Clark stand up please?
The game starts in 90 minutes.
Let's do this! Also fewer Murphies please!
