If you asked Utah Jazz fans before the season started if they thought Trey Burke could be averaging 17.8 ppg, 4.6 apg, 4.4 rpg, and 1.0 spg pretty much everyone would have said no. But that's what the Michigan star is doing now over the last five games. It's a small sample size, but if you look at his five game and ten game splits it's pretty obvious that he is distancing himself from his less than stellar start to the season.
He has never looked better this season, and this looks more like the guy we fell in love with to finish last season, and the guy who looked like he was ready to take it to the next level in the preseason. His three point shot and ball control have been a little shakey in the last five, but otherwise he is playing great ball. He has contributed to the success of this team over the last 10 games as well, and when Trey plays well the team is much more dangerous.
Last Five Games: Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Atlanta Hawks
Last 10 Games: also included Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Charlotte Hornets. Trey did not play against the Indiana Pacers.
Trey, relatively so hot right now.
I guess this makes Stephen Curry his Derek Zoolander . . .for at least tonight.
