Tonight the Utah Jazz will face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves; a team with fewer than half the wins of our stalwart heroes. However, the vast majority of those wins have been a product of solid team play coupled with excellent health. The Utah Jazz of today may be playing better as a squad; however, have an inequality of injuries at shooting guard right now. Starter Alec Burks is out for the rest of the season with left shoulder surgery recovery. Rodney Hood, a 1st rounder steal of the draft, is out with left foot inflammation and missed the last game. Toure' Murry is not with the team as he was send down to the NBA-DL again. And new NBA-DL call up, Patrick Christopher, dislocated his right patella last game and is also out.

Oh, and Enes Kanter is also out for this game too.

Yikes.

This leaves Ian Clark, Joe Ingles, and Dante Exum as the only people available to fit the bill. Exum and Ingles are the 1 and the 2 for the bench unit. So I guess tonight is the Ian Clark game. The former Belmont standout IS a good basketball player, even if the minutes he has received this season so far do not give us much to work with. The undrafted hero of the Las Vegas Summer league (two seasons ago) will be going up against the long awaited #1 draft pick of this summer, Andrew Wiggins.

It's going to be fun.

It's also going to be fun because the Utah Jazz still have Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, Rudy Gobert -- AND Dante Exum (even if he's not starting). The Jazz aren't sunk because of injuries. And they are even 30-22 in Minnesota All-time. Furthermore, the Wolves aren' that good. They will be missing starting guards Ricky Rubio and Kevin Martin, and starting center Nikola Pekovic.

Watch the game. Have fun.

Go Jazz!
