Tonight the Utah Jazz will tip off against the Indiana Pacers with a really long starting lineup:
Starters:
- PG: Donald Sloan vs. Dante Exum
- SG: Rodney Stuckey vs. Joe Ingles
- SF: Solomon Hill vs. Gordon Hayward
- PF: David West vs. Derrick Favors
- C: Roy Hibbert vs . Rudy Gobert
That's because Trey Burke, Alec Burks, Enes Kanter (three starters), and Rodney Hood and Patrick Christopher (two bench guards) are all out. It's going to be interesting to see what happens. But the last time Aussies and French guys teamed up with America it was D-Day. (Also shout out to the Brits, Canadians, New Zealanders, British East Indians, and Polish people who often get forgotten for their contributions during WWII. Oh, and the Russians, who won that war's Eastern front.)
Anyway, tonight shouldn't be a war, but the dawn of a new era. Dante will get his first start of his career. It's going to be interesting to see what happens. Had he gone to the Orlando Magic he would have started about 30 games by now. I wrote a more detailed preview which you can read here. I'm going to take tonight off to pack my bags once again.
