Tonight the Utah Jazz face the smug-but-still-somehow-never-won-anything Los Angeles Clippers tonight in their last game before Thanksgiving. I am never going to stop finding it impossible that the Clippers are "good". The Clippers have been so historically bad when NBA 2K16 had to find historically significant players for each franchise to add as special players one of the Clippers greats is an old Dominique Wilkins from 1994 after the Danny Manning trade. No, they didn't even include Danny Manning -- but they included old 'Nique. That's just how pathetic the Clippers franchise is. The fact that they made the playoffs four times in a row, and probably will make it a fifth this season, means that right now this is the best they have ever been. Or, alternatively when you look at the greater sample size of 46 seasons, that this period right now is off the charts a random blip in actual competency.

I may need to dig into this later, but it's also hilarious that the 26 year old Karl Malone and the 36 year old Karl Malone were both better than the 26 year old Blake Griffin.

If the Clippers were a movie franchise they would be "The Room". Right now, this period of possibly five straight trips to the NBA Playoffs, that's the part of "The Room" where the drug dealer comes in and the movie actually gets good for a bit before it returns to being absolutely the worst thing you've ever seen, and such a universally accepted joke that late night stand up comedians are using you as the punchline.

I could care less if the Clippers win a 14th straight game against the Jazz tonight. They will, at the end of the day, be the Clippers. They have made the playoffs 11 times in 46 years, and been bounced out of the first round in 4 of those 11 times. You can be an All-Star. You can chew on your mouth guard. You can bait refs into calling fouls for your flops all you like. But your franchise is straight trash. But Michael Cage was pretty cool. Sadly, a lot of "Clippers 4 life" fans didn't even know he played for them. Also, they don't know what a Jheri curl is either.
