Today is a very special day, it’s the birthday of another Utah Jazz player. In the summer we celebrated a few, but now it’s time to celebrate the birthdays of our Jazzmen on the current roster! And we have to start with Joe Ingles (sorry Marcus Paige who was born on 9/11)! Today Joe, Aussie 1, Joe 1, Sloppy Joe, Average Joe, is 29 years old. He’s one of the vets for the Jazz despite being just in his third season in the NBA. He’s been a pro baller since 2006, in fact, Dante Exum used to have posters up in his room of Joe. (And they’re on the same team now)
On one had that shows how great Joe has taken care of his body, being someone who has played in Australia, Spain, Israel, and the NBA. On the other hand, man, Dante is very young.
The former NBL rookie of the year, and champion on two continents (Australia in 2009, Euroleague in 2014) brings so much to this Jazz team -- and I don’t just mean his locker room camaraderie. Check this out!
Beware: Trap music with NSFW lyrics. Yes, Trap Music Joe Ingles mix. What a world we live in now.
Here’s one with higher def visuals and no trap music.
I don’t know where Ingles is going to be in the rotation, with plenty of guards, forwards, and point forwards ahead of him. But I don’t know if we can afford to keep him on the bench all game long. He hustles, makes plays for himself and others, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him miss a corner three in the 4th quarter. His defensive versatility is severely underrated.
