The Utah Jazz (3-3) start their big Eastern Conference road trip today. It's going to be a good trip, regardless of the final scores, because Gordon Hayward is back and will start today! Woo! The Jazz are 13-33 in Madison Square Garden. That's not a great record. However, the current home team there isn't so great at home either. Is this a 'toss up'?

We don't have all of those up just yet, but we do have this nice preview of the entire road trip here, if you'd rather read that. As for tonight, it'll be our first time seeing former Jazzman guard Jeff Hornacek as the head coach of the New York Knicks (2-3). It's going to be a fun game, I hope. New York has reloaded for the playoffs. Utah has as well.

Knicks Roster Notes:

Lance Thomas has a sprained left ankle, and is questionable; but otherwise no one else is hurt.

Jazz Roster Notes:

Gordon Hayward returns after only six regular season games missed. Not bad. Derrick Favors is probably still on a minutes restriction though. Boris Diaw is out. Alec Burks is out. Trey Lyles has his 21st birthday party last night. So, yeah, expect a GREAT game from him.

Presumed Starters:

  • PG: George Hill vs. Derrick Rose
  • SG: Rodney Hood vs. Courtney Lee
  • SF: Gordon Hayward vs. Carmelo Anthony
  • PF: Derrick Favors vs. Kristaps Prozingis
  • C: Rudy Gobert vs. Joakim Noah
