Some lunchtime thoughts after the Draft

some_text

In DL we trust.

After a long night of watching,

most of us fans might have tempered our emotions somewhat. Looking through just two days worth of posts, I feel SLCDunk could be diagnosed with bipolar disorder. After the Hill trade, probably 80% of commenters were ecstatic for the season to start, with more green "rec'd" comments than I've seen in a very long while. After four hours of sitting through all of the annoying four hours of the draft to simply see us draft Bolomboy, Paige, and somebody else named Tyrone, many of the comments were less than happy with where the team was.

Well luckily, Dennis Lindsay, the mighty wizard of the midwest, has come to temper those unhappy feelings! He addressed the media after the draft, and gave some extremely interesting insights into what is going on in Jazz land. Without further ado, I present the most interesting man in the world Utah. (Cue the applause.)

Some of my takeaways from it:

-We did try to trade back into the first round, apparently we tried pretty hard. It just didn't work out. Sometimes you just can't have your cake and eat it too, sadly.

-There is definitely going to be at least one more move before the season starts. From looking at our roster, I would think that it would involve some of our point guards.

-We actually have a very good development center in Utah apparently. Gordon specifically stayed here for it, as well as some other unnamed players. I believe Gobert and Favors are here. Likely Neto. Maybe Lyles?

-Hayward has a great relationship with Q and Dennis.

-Our approach to Exum's rehab is just correct. In Dennis said they're trying to keep it as interesting and creative as possible so he doesn't get bored of rehab. That's just the way things should be.

All comments are the opinion of the commenter and not necessarily that of SLC Dunk or SB Nation.
