Duncan Retires

This will be quick, but I just saw the news that Duncan officially announced his retirement from the NBA. I know that here in Jazzland it's debated about whether or not he was the greatest power forward in the history of the NBA, but outside of Jazz fandom, it's not. (Personally, I consider him the greatest PF/C in history, while Malone is the greatest pure PF). He was one of the classiest players in the league, and may ultimately be seen as greatest player of his generation.

Now for your thoughts:

With Duncan retiring, do the Spurs slip enough to let the Jazz sneak in to a top 3 seed, or are Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, Tony Parker, and the aging Manu Ginobili and Pau Gasol still enough to be a deep playoff contender?

All comments are the opinion of the commenter and not necessarily that of SLC Dunk or SB Nation.
