The NBA announced today that Gordon Hayward was named Western Conference Player of the Week. Hayward led the Utah Jazz to a 3-1 record, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, and Orlando Magic at home — and dropping a tough game against the Memphis Grizzlies on the road. (Tough game = second night of a back to back, third game in four nights, fifth game in seven nights, last game in a five game road trip that switched time zones a few times.) Hayward was ballin’ this week.

Wow! He deserves it. Hayward joins George Hill (who was awarded Western Conf POTW in the first week of the season) to be recognized this year by the NBA. Let’s hope this leads to more people who #TakeNote of G-Time and his All-Star campaign.
