Utah Jazz vs Los Angeles Lakers Recap: Rudy Gobert dominates and Jazz win

The Utah Jazz continue solid play in their final preseason game

NBA: Preseason-Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Lakers Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

The Utah Jazz played the hated Los Angeles Lakers in LA. Rudy Gobert was dominant, with 29 points on 12 shots, along with 13 boards, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. Ricky Rubio was effective with 22 points on 18 shots and 6 assists.

There were also some excellent transition plays, showcasing a somewhat faster Jazz pace...

Donovan Mitchell was given the green light and scored 26 points on 20 shots, 5 boards, and 3 assists.

Game Notes

Dante Exum is still injured. Rodney was knocked out of the game after 4 minutes of play. Rudy, Rubio, and Mitchell all dominated the game play.

Joe Ingles needs to take some shots. With so many guys out, we need him to take more than 3 shots a game.

Alec Burks came back to earth today. His offense was missing or inept today, with way too many poor jump shots.

Thabo Sefolosha had a very disappointing game, with a game worst -12 +/- and a number of very strange defensive plays leading to highlights for a young Lakers squad.

And that’s it for the preseason.
