After a sluggish start that saw a large amount of defenses lapses and hot shooting from the Denver Nuggets, the Utah Jazz came roaring back in the second half to get the victory.
The adjustments in the second half paid off immensely as the Jazz found a way to slow down the Nuggets scoring more effectively.
Nikola Jokic gave Rudy Gobert problems but Rudy still managed 18 and 10. In the first half, Alec Burks struggled on the defensive end but exploded in the fourth quarter helping the Jazz pull away from the Nuggets.
Joe Johnson and Ricky Rubio’s veteran presence should not be underestimated as it helped keep the Jazz calm to to eventually overcome the offensive onslaught from the Nuggets in the first half.
