Rodney Hood had a birthday that he will soon like to forget. After suffering a left calf injury on his birthday in last night’s game, Utah Jazz PR has released info that Rodney Hood had an MRI done on that same left calf. The MRI found no further damage and the Utah Jazz guard will be day to day until it improves.
(1/2) Rodney Hood underwent MRI testing today at Univ. of Utah Health Care’s Orthopaedic Center, which showed a mild left lower leg strain.

(2/2) He is OUT tonight vs. Oklahoma City.

In a now deleted tweet it looks like Utah Jazz sideline reporter Kristen Kinney was reporting the same thing.

The injury will keep Rodney Hood out tonight against OKC.
Donovan Mitchell will receive a lot of minutes tonight because of the misfortune of Utah’s 2013 draft picks (Exum and Hood). Once again, he will be facing off against elite competition as he will be asked to guard Paul George and, at times, Russell Westbrook.
