This is in addition to the report from Tony Jones earlier this morning that Exum’s shoulder was not just separated but had ligament damage.

Dante Exum looked to be ready to seize on his potential. He had a top 10 PER in the NBA for preseason and the game finally looked to be slowing down for him. Now it’s back to the drawing board again for the young Aussie who suffered a knee injuries two offseasons ago.
The whole play in which Dante Exum was injured came about by a reckless defensive play by TJ Warren who went to try to block Exum’s attempt but came crashing down on him to force the injury.

Utah’s remaining point guards on the roster are Ricky Rubio, Raul Neto, and Nate Wolters. Raul Neto had been on the fringe of a roster spot, but with the injury this all but guarantees his roster spot. Nate Wolters a two way signee by Utah will most likely stick on with Utah with the current state of Utah’s point guard depth.
