Rudy Gobert is set to make his true debut in the 2017 NBA Playoffs tonight after being cleared to play for game 4 of Los Angeles Clippers vs Utah Jazz. Rudy Gobert had hyperextended his knee and received a bone contusion as a result of a collision with Luc Mbah a Moute just 15 seconds into Game 1 of the playoffs. In that game, the Utah Jazz shocked the Los Angeles Clippers at home thanks to the heroics of Joe Johnson.

Since then the Utah Jazz have given the Clippers a tough series but have notably been without Rudy Gobert’s league best interior defense. The Jazz have turned to Derrick Favors who previous to this series hadn’t played more than 30 minutes in a game since March.

The series could be turning to Utah’s favor as Blake Griffin recently went down with a toe injury that will keep him out of the rest of the current NBA season.
