One would have to believe the Utah Jazz are one of those 8 teams vying for Beverley’s services. Considering that Utah is looking to save salary in order to sign Gordon Hayward and bring on additional talent for deeper playoff run, they are probably in hot pursuit of Patrick.

The Houston Rockets are having a FIRE ... sale. The Rockets have made Patrick Beverley, Ryan Anderson, and Lou Williams available via trade reports ESPN.com’s Marc Stein.

Coincidentally the Utah Jazz are in the market for a stretch 4, a scorer off the bench, and a defensive minded veteran point guard. The question then becomes is this something the Utah Jazz would be interested in?

Ryan Anderson is the perfect piece to place next to Rudy Gobert. But you don’t want him playing 30+ minutes and having Rudy Gobert protect him on the defensive end. Though he’s a great piece off the bench. But he’s on the books for 3 more years at $18M a year. That’s a steep price and could price Utah out of signing Gordon Hayward. Ryan Anderson averaged 13.6 ppg and 4.6 rpg on 40% shooting from 3 last year.

Patrick Beverley is intriguing. He would fit the Utah Jazz’s slow methodical pace and could help the Utah Jazz’s perimeter defense. Beverley’s contract is VERY team friendly at 2 more years for $6M a year. He’d be a great transition guard until Dante Exum is ready to take over the reigns. Patrick Beverley averaged 9.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg, and 4.2 apg on 38% shooting for 3 last year.

Lou Williams, aka All-Time Jazz Killer, is available at $8M a year for one more year. This would help Utah’s bench and add additional scoring. Lou Williams averaged 17.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, and 3.0 apg on 36.5% shooting from 3 last year.
