The 2017 NBA Draft is over and Trey Lyles has been traded to the Denver Nuggets. Going with him is No. 24 pick Tyler Lydon in exchange for No. 13 pick Donovan Mitchell. When Lyles found out he was heading to the Mile High City he was nothing but professional.
His Twitter:
Want to say thank you to the Jazz organization/Coaches/Fans/Teammates for all the help and support and a great 2 years!

So how is Trey going to fare with his new team?
Lyles had a hard time finding a place in the rotation in Utah and it might not be any easier in Denver. While Danilo Gallinari is a free agent and could end up in any of a dozen different places Kenneth Faried, Juancho Hernangomez, and Darrell Arthur are all still on the books for the Nuggets. Lyles could quickly find himself buried in Denver’s bench if he doesn’t make some improvements during the offseason. It will be a new challenge but he has the tools to control his own future.
Here’s to you, Trey Lyles. What you lacked on the court you made up for with bench celebrations.
