Gordon Hayward has alerted the Utah Jazz that he will opt out of his last year of his contract and become a free agent according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.
League sources: Gordon Hayward just officially notified Utah he's declining his 2017-18 player option to become an unrestricted free agent

This is just step one of the process of Gordon Hayward’s free agency. He will first visit Miami Heat on Saturday, then Boston Celtics on Sunday, then finish his free agency round robin in Utah on Monday. Hayward notifying Utah is but a formality of this point to his free agency.
Until otherwise stated, the Utah Jazz are the leaders in this race for Gordon Hayward’s affection. As was stated by Dennis Lindsey.
One quote that's stuck with me from yesterday's media availability. Dennis Lindsey saying he's "confident" about keeping Hayward/Hill. pic.twitter.com/KXZjriCE3A
