2017 Free Agency: George Hill Changes Representation

How much will this change his free agency?

In an unexpected move, George Hill has decided to change his representing agent ahead of free agency. Scott Agness, who also helped clarify that Gordon Hayward was meeting with the Utah Jazz last, has the story here:

It’s not a big change, as his new agent has been his financial advisor for years. The timing is certainly interesting, however, considering free agency is just a few hours away. Could they have been asking too much in the extension talks and things didn’t go as planned? Have there been unmet promises and expectations through Hill’s contract year? Has the market for Hill gone south as they prepare to start negotiations? Does this make it more or less likely that he returns to the Jazz?

I don’t know. And I’m sick of not knowing. Saturday can’t come soon enough so all these rumors and conjectures can finally go away. For better or for worse, we’ll have the news on our guys in the next week or so.
