After going defensive with today’s earlier signing of Thabo Sefolosha, the Utah Jazz have signed a more offensive weapon in Jonas Jerebko.

Much like a college kid who settles for ramen when the fridge is bare, the Utah Jazz are scraping up what’s left of the free agency cupboard. Jonas Jerebko is not going to move the needle by any means but he does fill a need of finding a stretch 4 that can fill the shoes of Trey Lyles and possibly Boris Diaw should the Utah Jazz not pick up his next year on July 15.

Jonas Jerebko had averaged 3.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in only 15.8 minutes of play with Boston last year. He can stretch the floor shooting 35% from three and on his career he shoots at about a 40% clip from the corner 3. The last two seasons in Boston he provided no value above replacement player (0.0 VORP according to Basketball-Reference.com). Statistically speaking, Jonas Jerebko is the average NBA player.

But memorabilia speaking, he’s All-Star level. Look at that signed AK47 jersey. LEGEND.
