Dante Exum was drafted 5th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft. I don’t know if that’s ever going to be something he can move past, though I think years later no one is referencing Derrick Favors or Enes Kanter as being #3 picks. But still, he was a 5th pick, and this is chronologically his fourth year in the NBA. And he’s playing in the Utah Jazz Summer League.
He has to do only simple things now. Make the right pass. Be aggressive. Be a pest on defense. And you know, dominate.
He did it before when he outplayed Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart. He has to do it again here. Play so well that the Jazz coaches are FORCED to shut you down for the summer. The more games he plays in Utah, and then Las Vegas, the worse it could be. Sure, I get it. Any organized ball is good for him and his confidence now. But he should be over this by now.
Prove it to us.
Bounce back, and bounce over all your obstacles Dante. And Dominate.
