The Utah Jazz’s past 24 hours just got a whole lot brighter. Utah’s even younger youth movement is under way. The Summer League Utah Jazz beat out the Philadelphia 76ers. The Utah Jazz controlled this game from end to end. The Philadelphia 76ers made this a game in the 4th quarter by going a big run to close the gap and get to within 1 point. But Donovan Mitchell made a huge off balance leaner to put the Jazz up by 3 and Utah controlled the free throw battle to finish the game.
Dante Exum and Donovan Mitchell—DMX—continue to impress and both had stellar performances.
Dante Exum
Dante Exum looks like a man amongst boys and it would be shocking if he plays another summer league game. He was defensively swarming his man and putting on a show on offense. Dante had 26 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds, and 1 block in only 29 minutes of play that included some pretty tasty highlights.

The defense. The hustle. The assist.

Dante Exum is certainly proving to Utah that he deserves big minutes next year. With the wing rotation far from being set in stone, Dante Exum is showing out at just the right time. It appears that the work he’s been putting in this offseason and training with Baron Davis—yes, that Baron Davis—is paying off.

Donovan Mitchell
Donovan Mitchell keeps looking like the steal of the draft. We’re not the only ones who think that. Trevor Booker, Rudy Gobert, and Dick Vitale are impressed.
I like this Donovan Mitchell kid

The @utahjazz struck gold with @spidadmitchell as he is an explosive young athletic talent with good hoop skills .
— Dick Vitale (@DickieV) July 6, 2017
Donovan Mitchell finished with 15 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block. He’s just a stat machine. He once again had some highlight dunks showing off his athletic potential.

Donovan Mitchell will be in this year’s dunk contest. Mark it.
Eric Griffin
Remember the name Eric Griffin. With the Utah Jazz short a forward—you might have heard—Eric Griffin has been making a name for himself in Utah Summer League. He has been a highlight machine. If you have the last name Griffin are you just given god-like dunking ability?
In his first summer league game on Monday he did this:
Throw it down, Eric!! #UtahJazzSL pic.twitter.com/KycvCaW16i

Then tonight he rocked the rim again.
Eric, you're kind of obsessed with dunking.

We're not mad.#UtahJazzSL pic.twitter.com/WmSiGSRdpM
To put icing on the cake he finished with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and 1 steal. He was facing off against Furkan Korkmaz and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, two players who’ll be getting NBA minutes next year. Eric Griffin is showing he belongs in this league.
